Learn to Sew: Saturdays 10:30 - 2:30

This is a  class where you will learn the basics of sewing. The goal is for you to be able to create that perfect garment you see in your mind’s eye by combining pattern and fabric AND have it fit! To do this you will need to learn about sewing techniques, the principles of garment construction and operating a sewing machine.

Sewing is a skill humans conceived of for improvements to an  animal skin!  It has a long history.

But it’s fun and satisfying. Some might even say fulfilling.

In this class you will learn the basics: seams, zippers, patterns. Each class will be divided between instruction and hands on construction of a simple object (like a scrunchy) giving the student opportunity to practice with the machine and develop skills.

Once you understand the principles of sewing you can use that knowledge to make seasonal items, decorations and improvements for your home.  And generally with superior quality and substantial savings!
